How to get from Jesolo to Venice by bus and ferry?
This is what we recommend to 90% of our guests: scenic, inexpensive and no parking problems.
- The bus. Near Hotel Rosanna is the stop for ATVO buses (line 23a or 5) to Punta Sabbioni. They run about every 30 minutes.
- The ferry. At the Punta Sabbioni terminal, board the ACTV ferry (line 14 or 15).
- Arrival. After about 30 minutes across the lagoon you land at St Mark’s Square (San Zaccaria/Pietà stop).
Hotel Rosanna tip: buy the combined bus + vaporetto ticket at tobacconists or ticket machines near the hotel to save time.
Is there a direct boat from Jesolo to Venice?
In summer a tourist boat often leaves directly from Jesolo beach (Piazza Milano or Piazza Marconi area), with no change between bus and ferry. Families love it because you sail on the open sea before entering the lagoon. Ask at reception for this season’s times.
Is it worth driving to Venice from Jesolo?
Driving to Venice can be expensive and stressful:
- you drive to Piazzale Roma or Tronchetto, about 45-50 minutes with traffic;
- daily parking in Venice costs between €25 and €40.
Our advice: leave the car in the hotel’s guaranteed parking and enjoy the boat trip. Arriving in Venice from the water is far more beautiful.
What to see in Venice in one day?
A quick itinerary if you are back in Jesolo for dinner:
- a photo at the Bridge of Sighs;
- a walk to the Rialto Bridge (about 20 minutes on foot);
- spritz and cicchetti in a bacaro away from the main streets;
- back towards St Mark’s, getting lost in the calli.

Line 12 also leaves from Punta Sabbioni and goes directly to Murano (the glass island) and Burano (the colourful houses) without passing through central Venice.
